~ Face
to Face ~
High
in the rustic bare faced cliffs that line some of the most majestic and
desolate canyons of southern Utah's mountain ranges is where some of the
largest monster mule deer seek their solitude. A few adventureous hikers
enter the bucks domain hoping to get at least a glimpse of such a beautiful
creature, but very rarely does it happen. If you're quite enough, sneaky
enough, and lucky you just might find yourself "Face to Face" with that
monster muley. For that split second as your eyes meet his, as the hair
on the back of your neck stands up, you freeze to remain quite. Not enough
time to take a picture, there never is, the deer may give you a split
second to enjoy your find but will disappear in mere seconds bouncing
out of sight. You won't see him again. He knows exactly where you are
and he is the master of the mountain. Walking back to camp and for the
rest of your life you will always remember the breathtaking feeling of
being "Face to Face." This is the feeling that is captured by this magnificent
painting by Blaine Dabb. Fortunately, you too can experience being "Face
to Face" as this painting has been made available to you through the publishing
of a limited edition print. |
